About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN II) – Surgery – Full-Time, Night Shift. This role is at Texas Health Fort Worth, a Level I Trauma Candidate facility that performs high-acuity and intense surgical procedures. The department is fast-paced and high-volume, averaging 75 surgeries per day, and offers experience in Robotics, Complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases. The unit has a Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and an engaged leadership team, providing an excellent clinical experience for new hires.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required
1 Year Of Experience as a Registered Nurse or the completion of an RN residency program Required
Current RN licensure Upon Hire Required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of Hire Required

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
