About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN II) – Surgery – Full-Time, Evening Shift. This role is at Texas Health Fort Worth, a Level I Trauma facility known for its fast-paced, high-volume department averaging 75 surgeries per day. The position offers excellent clinical experience, with highlights including robotics, complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases. The department boasts a robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and an engaged leadership team.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required
• 1 Year Of Experience as a Registered Nurse or the completion of an RN residency program Required
• Current RN licensure Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of Hire Required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
