About The Position

Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare, located in Staunton, Virginia, is a 42-bed facility providing trauma-informed psychiatric residential treatment to adolescent males. The facility serves youth with complex emotional, behavioral, and educational difficulties, including those with psychiatric disorders, co-occurring intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. Liberty Point offers a safe and supportive environment that prioritizes patient care and values the nursing profession. Nurses have the opportunity to provide excellent care, comfort, and security to patients and their families during vulnerable times. Requirements

  • Current license to practice nursing in State of Virginia (or eligible to receive or renew)
  • Current CPR or BLS certification preferred (can renew as part of New Employee Orientation)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire
  • Ability to successfully complete and pass all components of Handle With Care & Verbal De-escalation Crisis Intervention Training
  • Ability to use and supervise Handle With Care (HWC) techniques
  • Reflect behavior, attitude, and appearance appropriate to the position and be supportive of the facility and division philosophy, goals, and objectives
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and via written documentation

  • A pre-hire drug screen, pre-hire background checks, and education verification are required of all new employees.
