About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN II) - Cardiovascular Care Unit. This is a Full Time position working the Night Shift. Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Denton: 3000 N I-35 Denton, Texas 76201. Work hours: Full Time (36 Hour) Night Shift. Department Highlights: All age ranges - Cardiac issues, heart failure. 31 bed cardiac unit. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4. Patient population includes post open heart (CABG), post PCI, arrhythmia issues, administration of cardiac drips (all rooms have bedside monitors). High morale with lots of tenure on the unit.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma (nursing) required Or Associate's Degree Nursing required Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required
RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 90 days required
ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required
CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required

Nice To Haves

2+ years of nursing experience is preferred
