About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN II) - Cardiovascular Care Unit. This is a Full Time position working Nights. Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Denton: 3000 N I-35 Denton, Texas 76201. Work hours: Full Time (36 Hour) Night Shift. Department Highlights: All age ranges - Cardiac issues, heart failure. 31 bed cardiac unit. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4. Patient population includes post open heart (CABG), post PCI, arrythmia issues, administration of cardiac drips (all rooms have bedside monitors). High morale with lots of tenure on the unit.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma (nursing) required Or Associate's Degree Nursing required Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 90 days required
  • ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required
  • CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of nursing experience is preferred
