Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Unit Full Time Days
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Unit. This is a Full Time position, working 36 hours weekly on Day shift (7a-7p with every 3rd weekend rotation). This is a Progressive Care Unit with 15 beds on CVI and 16 beds on CVU. CVI specializes in pre- and post-cardiac interventions such as PTCA, cardioversion, and generator implants, as well as patients with atypical chest pain requiring cardiac monitoring. CVU provides post-op care for cardiac surgery patients following open-heart recovery. RNs care for patients throughout their entire journey, from intervention to discharge. New graduate nurses are encouraged to apply. The Cardiac Nurse assesses patient needs, implements interventions, and maintains a nursing care plan to address those needs. Strong critical thinking skills are essential as nurses provide technical care and act as resources to guide patients and families through their cardiac journey.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN License
- BCLS Required
- ACLS Required
