About The Position

University Hospitals is looking for talented and experienced registered nurses to join our compassionate care team in our ICU Float Pool. In this position you will work in one of our 6 ICU units or their step down units. Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. Individuals in Weekender roles qualify for full-time medical and dental benefits, whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part-time levels. Requirements

1 year of RN experience required
Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities.
Abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
