About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor PRN position at Havasu Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, provides administrative and clinical leadership for all acute care nursing units during off-hours. This role is the primary decision-maker for hospital-wide operations, ensuring that staffing levels match patient acuity and that patient flow (admissions, transfers, and discharges) is handled efficiently to prevent bottlenecks in the Emergency Department. The team is described as the heartbeat of the hospital when the rest of the world is asleep, advocating for patients and championing bedside staff. Leaders in this role are expected to lead by example, assist on busy floors, and prioritize patient safety.

Requirements

• Current Arizona RN license
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school
• BCLS and ACLS required (within 3 months of hire/transfer)
• 4-5 years of bedside nursing required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred
• 1 year of nurse management or house supervisor preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hospital-wide bed management; determine appropriate placement for patients based on level of care (e.g., Med-Surg vs. ICU).
• Adjust unit staffing in real-time based on fluctuating patient volumes and acuity scores, often managing "sick calls" and agency staff.
• Serve as the first responder and coordinator for Rapid Response Teams and Code Blues across all acute care floors.
• Act as the on-site administrative representative to resolve immediate concerns between patients, families, and physicians.
• Monitor units for compliance with The Joint Commission safety standards and hospital policies.
