Requirements

  • Current Virginia state or compact state RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 7 days of hire
  • ACLS, PALS required within 7 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years experience as Registered Nurse in a hospital setting is highly preferred
  • Nursing supervisor in ICU and/or ED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assumes shift accountability for hospital operations and provides direction and assistance to the primary caregivers in patient - care areas.
  • Acts as a clinical and administrative resource to staff.
  • Coordinates and directs activities in emergency situations.
  • Counsels and directs unit resource nurses and staff in provision of direct nursing care.
  • Functions as a patient advocate.
  • Investigates and resolves patient/customer and staff complaints.
