Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required and able to produce a valid Washington State RN license.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility and psychiatric nursing management.
- Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, and OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory standards.
- CPR certification is required.
- Successful completion of crisis intervention training within 90 days of employment and before participating in restraining procedures.
- Demonstrate exceptional crisis management and time management skills.
- Showcase your flexibility and creativity, with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exhibit a calm, organized, and professional demeanor even in the face of stressful situations.

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess the physical and psychological conditions of patients continuously throughout their care journey.
- Utilize the nursing process in alignment with the philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles of SSBH.
- Uphold a safe therapeutic environment grounded in our core values.
- Oversee and ensure staff adherence to standards of care, mental health practices, and hospital policies.
- Lead and contribute to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide essential supervision, leadership, and direction to nursing staff.
- Evaluate program effectiveness, formulate improvement plans, and implement necessary changes.
- Coordinate staffing schedules based on patient needs and maintain legal processes for patients.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and regulatory standards.
- Develop, update, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by Nursing Services.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, document patient information, and reassess changes in patient condition.
