Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool – Full-Time, Nights Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Southwest – 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132. Work Hours: Full-time, Night Shift (36 hours/week); weekend and holiday requirements. Department Highlights: Central Staffing department for 222-bed facility, MAGNET facility, Level III Trauma Center, Primary Stroke center. Enjoy self-scheduling to help with work/life balance. Requirements

Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
Med/Surg and Progressive Care experience strongly preferred
RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support - within 90 days of hire Required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire Required
NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Required

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
Med/Surg and Progressive Care experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
assesses the patient
plans the care of the patient
intervenes as appropriate
evaluates the effectiveness of intervention
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
