Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is looking for Registered Nurses to join their Float Pool team at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. This role offers an incentive of $15,000 - $20,000 and relocation assistance to Alaska, where employees can experience the midnight sun in the summer, a front-row seat to the northern lights in the winter, and the opportunity to advance their experience and skills while enjoying the Alaskan lifestyle. The float pool team at Fairbanks Memorial is responsible for staffing 6 units across the hospital, including Behavioral Health, 3West surgical unit, Pediatrics, 2South medical unit, Women’s Center for mother/baby couplet care, and the Intensive Care unit. This job is ideal for an independent learner who loves to critically think in a flexible and fast-paced environment. No two days are the same when you are in the float pool, and you’ll soon make friends all over the hospital. The team encourages expanding knowledge and learning to care for a variety of patients in a supportive and team-based environment. Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is a non-profit facility owned by the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation. It is a Joint Commission-accredited facility with 152 licensed beds and serves as the primary referral center for residents of Alaska's interior. The hospital maintains a strong patient-to-nurse ratio and a culture of Shared Leadership. Fairbanks, the second largest city in Alaska with 100,000 residents, offers a unique blend of large-town amenities, breathtaking landscapes, and plenty of wide-open space. It is known as the Golden Heart City, a college town (University of Alaska Fairbanks), and a military community (Ft. Wainwright Army Post & Eielson Air Force Base). Residents benefit from no state income tax and no sales tax. The community provides robust youth sports programs and a wide array of summer activities (midnight sun, hiking, fishing, camping, gold panning, kayaking, berry picking, rafting, rock climbing, recreational flying, community-wide festivals, live music, and events) and winter activities (northern lights, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, hockey, curling, ice fishing, dog mushing, ice climbing, hunting, ice art, world-class hot springs, community-wide art shows, and festivals).
