About The Position
MercyOne is seeking a Critical Care Float RN to join their team. This role involves providing and directing safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for high-risk patients across various intensive care units. The position requires complex assessments, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidence-based practice. Responsibilities include providing high-intensity therapies and interventions with continuous nursing surveillance, adhering to Professional Practice Standards, and actively participating in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- ACLS certification
- Basic Life Support certification
- Registered Nurse in Iowa
- Registered Nurse in Illinois within 1 year
- No experience required
Nice To Haves
- Baccalaureate in Nursing
- 2 years experience in Critical Care/ED/CSU/CU
Responsibilities
- Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for high-risk pediatric through aging adult patients with actual or potential life-threatening health problems in the intensive care units
- Complex assessments, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidenced-based practice
- Providing high-intensity therapies and interventions with continuous nursing surveillance
- Adherence to the Professional Practice Standards as defined by ANA
- Active participation in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities
