About The Position

This is a Full Time, 36 hours weekly, Nights 7pm-7am position in the Nursing Pool Department at Texas Health Dallas. The role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team to provide life-saving care to ill patients, utilizing cutting-edge medical technology and equipment. The position requires attending orientation and training at the corporate office in Arlington for the first 1-5 days of hire. The department highlights include working with a diverse patient population and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care through nursing education, research, and practice innovations.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma in Nursing or Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program
Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program for staff floating to areas where they will be delivering care and resuscitating neonates required within 90 days of hire
NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program For staff floating to areas where they will be delivering care and resuscitating neonates required within 90 days of hire
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

1 year of Progressive Care Cardiac Unit, Telemetry, or Med Surg experience preferred
