About The Position

This is a Full Time Nights position for a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool, specifically for PCCU/Telemetry units. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care through nursing education, research, and practice innovations. The position is within a supportive, team environment with opportunities for growth, working with a multi-disciplinary team to provide life-saving care to ill patients with diverse needs using cutting-edge medical technology and equipment.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 1 year of Progressive Care Cardiac Unit, Telemetry, or Med Surg experience preferred
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program for staff floating to areas where they will be delivering care and resuscitating neonates required within 90 days of hire
  • NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program For staff floating to areas where they will be delivering care and resuscitating neonates required within 90 days of hire
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year of Progressive Care Cardiac Unit, Telemetry, or Med Surg experience preferred
