About The Position

This is a temporary Registered Nurse (RN) position for a First Assist role in the Operating Room. The assignment is for day shifts. Candidates must have at least 2 years of current First Assist Operating Room experience and a Bachelor of Science degree. Required certifications include BLS (AHA) and CNOR. Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred. The facility requires that candidates do not reside within 50 miles of the facility. All requested time off (RTO) must be noted and verified at the time of profile upload, with no more than 5 days accepted. Scheduling requests will not be approved after the offer is made. The nurse will be on call by rotation at BMC Main OR.

Requirements

• 2 years current FIRST ASSIST OPERATING ROOM experience
• Bachelor of Science degree
• BLS AHSA
• CNOR REQUIRED
• Meditech Expanse experience
• Massachusetts RN license
• Active American Heart Association BLS
• Active Certified Perioperative Nurse CNOR
• Work History Skills Checklist, FIRST ASSIST OPERATING ROOM, current to 1 year
• 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
• Traveler must have their own vehicle
• Must not reside within 50 miles of facility

Responsibilities

• Provide First Assist services in the Operating Room.
• Adhere to facility-provided scrub dress code.
• Be available for on-call duties by rotation.
• Work 8-hour shifts.
