About The Position

Saline Memorial Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Room team. The RN provides patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals. The Emergency Department is open 24/7 and is part of a Level III Trauma Center and designated Stroke Center.

The role is full-time and scheduled for three 12-hour mid-shifts from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on a rotating schedule. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care; supports patients and families; and contributes to quality improvement and ongoing education.

Requirements

• Current state or compact state RN license.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• TNCC certification.
• Previous ER experience.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial or spiritual support needs.
• Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
