About The Position

Wilson Medical Center is hiring a Lead Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The RN uses specialized plan-of-care interventions and serves as a patient-care innovator, shaping patient journeys and applying nursing skills and technology to support patient well-being. The role is in a busy, fast-paced emergency department with 20 beds, six patient-processing bays, and a six-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit for behavioral health patients. The department has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4/5 and a collaborative team of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, paramedics, unit secretaries, and providers. Wilson Medical Center is a Certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center, with an average daily census of 106 patients.

This is a full-time night position with rotating holidays and weekends. A $20,000 commitment bonus is offered. Wilson Medical Center is a 294-bed hospital in Wilson, North Carolina, and part of Lifepoint Health.

Requirements

• Current state RN license.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.
• One year of RN emergency department experience required.
