About The Position

Springfield Hospital’s Emergency Department, located at 25 Ridgewood Road in Springfield, VT, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Upon arrival, unless your condition requires being seen by a Doctor or Physician’s Assistant immediately, you will be promptly screened by an Emergency Department Nurse to determine the severity of your condition and the appropriate course of treatment. Our Emergency Department at Springfield Hospital is fully staffed around the clock and serves approximately 14,000 patient visits each year.

Requirements

2+ years of current ED experience in a hospital setting
Vermont RN license or Compact
Active American Heart Association BLS
Active American Heart Association ACLS
Active Trauma Nursing Core Course TNCC
Active American Heart Association PALS
All certifications must be in hand to be considered.
Traveler must have their own vehicle.
Perm address must be included in profile.
Any/All RTO must be included in profile.
All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission.

Responsibilities

Screen patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and the appropriate course of treatment.
Provide care in a 24/7 Emergency Department setting.
Work two blocks (if scheduled/needed): Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after, New Year Eve through New Year Day and weekend after.
Be available for on-call duties as assigned.
Work holidays if needed.
Work every other weekend if needed.
