About The Position

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Emergency Department. This role is crucial in fulfilling the mission of making communities healthier. The Emergency Department offers a supportive and stable work environment, caring for a variety of patients across the lifespan. The unit features self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and an every-other-weekend rotation to promote flexibility and work-life balance. Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
