Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – Full-time, 7P Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132. Work hours: Full-time, 3 x 12 hour shifts, 7 pm - 7 am. Department Highlights: 48 bed ED; average population of 170 - 185 patients per day. MAGNET facility. Level III Trauma Center. Primary Stroke center. STEMI with PCI capabilities. Requirements

Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
PALS – within 90 days of hire required OR ENPC – within 12 months of hire required
TNCC – within 12 months of hire required
NIHSS – within 6 months of hire required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire required
1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
Current ED experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process: assesses the patient, plans the care of the patient, intervenes as appropriate, evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
