About The Position

This position will perform a variety of roles, including monitoring, assisting the physician scrubbing procedures, and using the pacing stimulator. Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Position renders individualized, age-specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. Performs all aspects of clinical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. May assist with compilation and reporting of procedural information to benchmarking, regulatory, or accreditation agency(ies), as required. Participates with all team members to provide and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with team members are required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure.
  • Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and wearing the additional weight of lead aprons during procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • A minimum of 1+ years Emergency Department, ICU or Procedural setting nursing experience may be considered.
  • Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
  • Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews every two years.

Nice To Haves

  • CVICU or ICU or min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown
  • At least one (1) year of prior Cardiac Cath/ EP Lab experience
  • Hemodynamics experience
  • BSN
  • Certification in specialty area of practice
  • Certified as a Critical Care Nurse (CCRN)
