Registered Nurse (RN) Educator / Infection Control (Full-time)
About The Position
Excel at Woodbury for Rehab and Nursing is urgently seeking an Infection Control/Staff Educator. You must be a Registered Nurse to apply. This position requires an organized, detail-oriented individual with knowledge of nursing re-education and the leadership qualities to supervise staff. The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable and self-motivated and willing to work flexible hours and at times this may include weekends. Requirements
- Registered Nurse in New York
- Minimum of 2-years experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Flexible and dependable
- Capable of meeting deadlines
- Able to work independently & efficiently
- MDS knowledge
- Familiar with Electronic Medical Records
Responsibilities
- Ensures accuracy in documentation and information provided to physicians, residents and their responsible parties
- Conduct rounds
- Provides patient, family and staff education regarding support services and other therapies.
- Provides patient, family and staff education
- Will be a resource person for physicians and clinical staff.
- Schedule and Conduct facility in-services in conjunction with DOH guidelines and clinical needs of the facility.
- Additionally is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
- Participates in the performance improvement plan of the organization.
