Join the nationally known American Family Children’s Hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Diagnostic/Therapy Center. This role involves providing care to a variety of pediatric patients in an outpatient setting requiring day treatment therapies. Responsibilities include administering infusions for conditions such as cancer, hematologic conditions, Crohn’s disease, juvenile arthritis, genetic disorders, transplant, and research. The RN will also provide post-anesthesia care, including phase I and phase II recovery following radiologic interventions/treatments. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including proceduralists, specialty providers, APPs, child life specialists, scheduling, and radiology, is essential. The role requires setting priorities and adapting to changing patient and unit/clinic situations. The RN will work in two of three care areas: day treatment therapies (infusions, transfusions), sedation for procedures, and pre-post anesthesia care.
