About The Position

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Multispecialty Care team. Ideal candidates are patient-focused, mission-driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge to coordinate and perform hands-on acute patient care at the bedside. This role is within the CVICU, ED, or ICU departments and involves 36 hours per week on night shifts (7pm-7am) at St John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. A sign-on bonus of up to $35,000 is available. HSHS is a health care system serving communities throughout Illinois and Wisconsin, with 13 hospitals and numerous health centers and clinics, built on core values of respect, care, competence, and joy. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are required based on the patient population in the specialty area worked.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of science in nursing is preferred.
  • Critical Care Nursing experience is preferred.
  • Speciality certifications based on patient population such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) are preferred.
