About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care within a secure correctional environment. This role involves direct clinical care, emergency response, and maintaining accurate medical documentation while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – State of New York (Required)
- Ability to pass a background check
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and emergency response skills
Responsibilities
- Conduct sick calls and triage patient concerns
- Administer medications, including insulin
- Respond to medical emergencies (e.g., Narcan administration, asthma attacks, injury care)
- Maintain and update patient health records and reports
- Complete incident reporting for injuries and critical events
- Perform health screenings and coordinate care as needed
- Support administrative and compliance-related functions
