About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic clinical team in Syracuse, NY. This role involves administering specialized infusion therapies while also supporting nursing education and clinical excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Oncology Infusion experience
- Strong clinical background in infusion therapy and oncology care
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
- Active New York State RN License (Primary source verification required)
- AHA BLS Certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience in outpatient infusion settings
- Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification
Responsibilities
- Administer infusion therapies including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage infusion-related side effects
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs and training materials
- Provide clinical instruction, classroom teaching, and skills-based workshops
- Assess learning needs and deliver tailored education to nursing staff and students
- Track and evaluate staff performance and educational progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align education with clinical practice
- Promote evidence-based practices to enhance patient care outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and educational activities
- Mentor and support nursing staff and students
