About The Position

We are seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Supervisor to support our Venice office serving Sarasota and Charlotte County. This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys one-on-one care oversight, client assessments, caregiver support, care planning, and working in a fast-paced home care environment. The PRN RN Clinical Supervisor provides clinical support, oversight, and documentation for private-duty home care clients. This role includes completing assessments, reassessments, supervisory visits, care plan updates, caregiver guidance, and communication with clients, families, caregivers, physicians, and office staff. This position requires strong clinical judgment, quick critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a high level of comfort using computers, electronic documentation, and agency software systems.

Requirements

  • Active Florida Registered Nurse license required.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and sound nursing judgment.
  • Ability to think quickly, problem-solve, and respond appropriately to changing client needs.
  • High level of computer skills and comfort with electronic documentation systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Professional, dependable, adaptable, and coachable.
  • Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Current hands-on CPR certification.
  • TB screening completed within the last 6 months or X-Ray for TB within the last 5 years.
  • Eligibility for Level 2 AHCA background screening for the State of Florida.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital, private-duty home care, home health, hospice, or skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience with WellSky/ClearCare or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete client assessments, reassessments, supervisory visits, and care plan reviews.
  • Update and maintain accurate client care plans based on client needs and agency requirements.
  • Provide clinical guidance, support, and direction to caregivers as appropriate.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, families, caregivers, physicians, and office staff.
  • Identify changes in client condition, safety concerns, care plan needs, or caregiver training opportunities.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in the agency’s electronic system.
  • Assist with quality assurance, chart reviews, and clinical compliance as assigned.
  • Support safe, consistent, and compassionate care delivery in the home setting.
  • Respond appropriately to clinical concerns during assigned on-call rotation.
  • Work collaboratively with scheduling, HR, marketing, and leadership teams to support client care needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client, caregiver, and agency matters.
