About The Position

Greater Valley Health Center (GVHC), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our mission-driven primary care team as a Clinic RN Lead. As a FQHC, we are committed to improving access to high-quality, patient-centered care for the communities we serve. The Clinic RN Lead plays an important role in that mission by combining direct patient care with day-to-day clinical leadership. In this role, you will help coordinate clinical operations and patient flow, support and develop clinic staff, promote patient safety and quality, collaborate closely with providers and leadership, and help foster a positive, accountable, team-based culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN who enjoys both patient care and helping a clinical team succeed.

Requirements

  • Current, active RN license in the State of Montana.
  • Strong clinical assessment, triage, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize clinical and operational needs in a fast-paced primary care environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous ambulatory or primary care experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Experience with eCW preferred.
  • Experience working in a FQHC or community health setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily clinical operations and patient flow, including walk-ins, urgent triage, nurse visits, provider communication, and staffing needs.
  • Support daily huddles and collaborate with providers, clinical support staff, and front desk staff to promote patient access and efficient care delivery.
  • Provide clinical guidance, coaching, and workflow oversight to clinic support staff and communicate performance or practice concerns to the Clinic Director.
  • Monitor adherence to GVHC policies, procedures, clinical workflows, customer service standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Review and investigate safety events and clinical concerns and communicate documented findings to the Clinic Director.
  • Respond to patient concerns and support service recovery when needed.
  • Oversee clinic inventory, safety checks, and applicable clinical and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and proactively identify solutions to operational challenges.
  • Provide direct nursing care, including triage, patient education, injections, immunizations, IV therapy, venipuncture, specimen collection, and other procedures within the RN scope of practice.
  • Promote clear communication, teamwork, accountability, and a supportive team-based care environment.
