About The Position

Baystate Health is hiring an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Chestnut Outpatient Surgical Services at Baystate Medical Center, a Magnet-designated hospital recognized for nursing excellence. Work in 12 state-of-the-art operating rooms and care for adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatient surgical patients. You will join a collaborative team of RNs, surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and residents. We offer diverse surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Ophthalmology, and more. Requirements

Current Massachusetts RN license (or eligibility for licensure reciprocity)
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider certification
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required, preferably in surgical services
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Diploma in Nursing

Responsibilities

Care for adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatient surgical patients.
Collaborate with a team of RNs, surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and residents.
Provide patient-centered care through collaboration, safety, shared governance, and nursing autonomy.
Act as an advocate for patients and their families throughout their surgical journey.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
