About The Position

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care in the Cath Lab. The role involves assessing patients, identifying their needs, initiating appropriate nursing interventions, and providing care suited to each patient’s condition and age. The nurse is also responsible for timely, accurate medical-record documentation, completing and revising each patient’s Interdisciplinary Care Plan, and conducting timely, accurate quality-improvement assessments.

This is a full-time day position with 12-hour shifts. Call is required, as is every fifth weekend on a revolving five-week track schedule. Frye Regional Medical Center is part of Lifepoint Health, a community-based healthcare network committed to making communities healthier.

Requirements

• Current state RN license.
• Active North Carolina single-state RN license or compact license; relocating nurses must update licensure to the new Primary State of Residence before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• One to three years of experience preferred, with recent critical care or Cath Lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient’s condition and age.
• Complete timely and appropriate medical-record documentation related to medical necessity.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate quality-improvement assessments.
