About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assigned nursing roles in the Cath Lab, including Holding and Recovery. The nurse provides direct and indirect care as indicated by patient condition and works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. The role supervises subordinates to ensure patient safety standards are attained, completes established position competencies within the designated introductory period, and performs other related duties as assigned. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• At least 1 year of experience in critical care, the emergency department, or the operating room.
• Possess a current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
• Obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience.
