Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry
About The Position
The 6 Palm unit is a 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit specializing in adult and geriatric medical and surgical cardiac patients. Common diagnoses include AMI, ACS, CHF, complex arrhythmias, chest pain with elevated troponins, stable post STEMI/NSTEMI, CAD, PVD, AVR, MVR, and pre and post-op CABG. The unit also handles cardiac drips, chest tubes, pre & post pacemakers, stable post-op epicardial pacers, ICD, PCI, EPS, CTO, ablations, endarterectomy, thoracotomy, peripheral artery repair, and vascular surgery. Atrium Health Pineville has been recognized as a Top 50 CV Hospital by IBM Watson for the past 5 years, highlighting outstanding CV quality performance in heart failure, PCI, AMI, and CABG, placing its CV program in the top 2% of community-based CV programs nationally. The team is looking for a dynamic individual to join their family on 6 Palm.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new grads
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
