Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Medical Telemetry
About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) on the 4 North Cardiac Medical Telemetry unit at Atrium Health Mercy. This 29-bed unit specializes in the treatment of new onset medical conditions and continuum of care for a diverse population of adult patients. Common medical conditions treated include congestive heart failure, pulmonary edema, hypertension, stroke, cardiac arrhythmias, endocarditis, and initial cardiac work up for chest pain and/or shortness of breath, which typically includes prepping patients for cardiac stress tests. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. You will use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of inpatient nursing experience preferred.
- At least 6 months required experience to come in outside of the New Grad residency program.
