About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) on the 4 North Cardiac Medical Telemetry unit at Atrium Health Mercy. This 29-bed unit specializes in treating new onset medical conditions and providing continuum of care for adult patients. Common conditions include congestive heart failure, pulmonary edema, hypertension, stroke, cardiac arrhythmias, endocarditis, and initial cardiac work-ups for chest pain and/or shortness of breath, which typically involves preparing patients for cardiac stress tests. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe and therapeutic care according to established standards, policies, and procedures. It also requires using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of inpatient nursing experience preferred.
  • At least 6 months required experience to come in outside of the New Grad residency program.
