About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Texas Health Dallas. The role involves on-call requirements and requires living within a 30-minute response time. The Cardiac Cath Lab department performs approximately 225 procedures per month, with significant volumes in Cardiogenic Shock, STEMI, PVD, and Structural Heart procedures. The lab is equipped with 4 Cath Labs, 2 EP Labs, and 26 observation/recovery beds. The position offers 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM-5:30 PM) with on-call duties for evenings, weekends, and holidays. It is a fast-paced procedure unit.

Requirements

Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required
1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN)
Required to live within a 30-minute drive for on-call requirements
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support –within 90 Days Required

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
One (1) or more years’ current experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab, Critical Care or ED RN is strongly preferred.
IABP - Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Certification Upon Hire Preferred
