About The Position

Wilson Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Cath Lab, Pre & Post Cath Holding, and Cardiology Stress Testing services. The role provides safe, age-appropriate nursing care through pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery phases. The nurse functions as a circulating RN in the Cath Lab and supports Cardiology Stress Testing, working in a fast-paced procedural environment with minimal supervision.

The schedule consists of varied day shifts with rotating call and holidays, approximately every fifth weekend, and a requirement to be within a 30-minute callback radius. A $20,000 commitment bonus is offered. The role serves patients from neonates through older adults.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required within one week of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within six months of hire.
• Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
• Compassion, strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year of experience preferred; Cath Lab, Critical Care, ED, or Endo experience is considered relevant.
• PALS preferred.
• Handle With Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate assessments and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide safe, age-appropriate care during pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery phases.
• Function as a circulating RN in the Cath Lab and support Cardiology Stress Testing.
• Administer medications, perform clinical treatments, and document care thoroughly.
• Communicate patient condition clearly to physicians, care teams, patients, and families.
