About The Position
Mercy Youngstown Behavioral Health, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Mercy Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Behavioral Health unit. The hospital is expanding its inpatient capacity and is looking for dedicated professionals to join their team. The role emphasizes providing superior patient care that exceeds industry standards and patient expectations. The team utilizes evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care, and fosters a supportive and upbeat workplace culture.
Requirements
- Current Ohio RN license
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school
- CPR certification required within 30 days of employment
- De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment
Nice To Haves
- 1-year experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess the patient and plan care within set time-frames and document findings according to policies.
- Monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician.
- Consistently use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients.
- Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies.
