About The Position

Lakeside 20 is a nationally recognized Age Friendly Unit that participates in ACE (Acute Care of the Elderly) rounds on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The unit is described as a giant melting pot of cultural diversity with staff from the Philippines, Nepal, Africa, and Japan. At University Hospitals, nurses are front-line caregivers who expertly blend compassion with advanced knowledge, technical skills, and professional integrity.

Requirements

1 year of RN experience required
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License Upon Hire (Required)
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
