About The Position
Lakeside 20 is a nationally recognized Age Friendly Unit that participates in ACE (Acute Care of the Elderly) rounds on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our unit is a giant melting pot of cultural diversity, with staff from the Philippines, Nepal, Africa, and Japan. At University Hospitals, nurses are front-line caregivers who expertly blend compassion with advanced knowledge, technical skills, and professional integrity.
Requirements
- 1 year of RN experience required
- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License Upon Hire (Required)
- Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
- Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
