About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a Great opportunity for a Full-time Registered Nurse (Adult Medicine/ Internal Medicine) at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia. This position offers an excellent work/life balance with no nights or weekends, as the clinic operates Monday-Friday between 0700-1900 with 8 or 10-hour shifts. The role is an employee status with a full complement of benefits, and the clinic is open on all Federal Holidays. The Registered Nurse will provide care to our Nation's armed forces and their dependents.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Graduate of a state-accredited professional nursing program
- Active RN license....Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Possess a minimum experience of one (1) year within the last two (2) years as an RN
- Active BLS certification
- U. S Citizen
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of RN duties in accordance with assignment under the task order, including triage; patient assessment and monitoring; use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment; appropriate nursing care, procedures, and treatments; execution of physicians’ orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice; documentation of patient care and observations; and patient education and emotional support
