About The Position

South Western School District is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 nursing support for a 6th-grade student during the 2026-2027 school year. The assigned student requires medical support related to G-tube care and venting, as well as monitoring and support for a seizure diagnosis. The RN will work closely with school staff to ensure the student can safely participate in the educational environment throughout the school day.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with pediatric, school-based, or special-needs nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of G-tube care and seizure management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care throughout the school day.
• Support the student's G-tube care and venting needs.
• Monitor and respond to seizure-related medical concerns.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation.
• Collaborate with school personnel and caregivers to support student health and safety.
• Follow district policies and physician care plans.
