About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Resource Team/Float Pool at Northwest Community Hospital provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving the patient, family, and other healthcare providers. This role coordinates the patient's plan of care to ensure interventions are consistent, safe, timely, and appropriate. The nurse will communicate clearly and effectively with all customers in person, on the phone, and in writing. They will individualize patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet specific learning needs and participate in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through quality improvement initiatives. The nurse is responsible for maintaining professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Per Diem Commitment: Level 1 - must be able to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, including 24 hours of weekend time.
  • Floating Required
