About the Lutheran Emergency Department Float Pool RN Role As an Emergency Department Float Pool RN at Lutheran Hospital, you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care and staffing needs across emergency care settings. Requirements

Current RN license in the state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
Minimum one (1) year of RN experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
BSN is Required. Degree will be verified.
RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of hire date.

Nice To Haves

Emergency Department, Trauma, Critical Care, or other acute care nursing experience.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and clinical standards.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
Adapt quickly to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Support a culture of teamwork, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement.
