Rehab Registered Nurse (RN), Rehabilitation- Job Type: Days 7:00am-7:00pm. Florence, Alabama is situated in Northwestern Alabama, where the Tennessee River Flows through the scenic Shoals. On your days off spend some time fishing and boating on Wilson Lake. Come tour the historical sites, visit Key Cave National Wildlife Refuge, or take a relaxing lake cruise on Wheeler Lake. At North Alabama Shoals hospital our Rehab team is staffed 24/7 with physicians, nurses and staff who are trained in providing quality care. Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 14 days of hire.
  • Requires one year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Provides the basic leadership required of a Registered Nurse for subordinate staff on the Unit.
