About The Position

Peak Rehabilitation Hospital is a 52-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, Duke Health, and WakeMed. It provides specialized rehabilitation care to patients in the Raleigh/Durham and Apex communities. The hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a collaborative interdisciplinary team dedicated to helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Nursing Diploma program
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
CPR/BLS certification required

Nice To Haves

Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred
ACLS certification preferred
CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment
High level of attention to detail in clinical documentation and patient care

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery goals
Promote patient safety and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Perform other duties as assigned
