About The Position

Radiology Nursing is a dynamic unit that supports patients undergoing radiological procedures. While the unit does not have a specific number of beds, it plays a crucial role in ensuring patient comfort and safety during various imaging studies. The patient population and diagnoses in this unit vary, reflecting the diverse nature of radiology services. This position will be supporting outpatient CT and MRI. Mostly consists of screening patients for the scans, starting IV's, accessing ports, monitoring/responding to contrast reactions. Must live within a 45-minute response time of the hospital. Nursing skills gained on this unit: Obtain Radiology Nursing certification, Develop phenomenal procedural skills, Refine time management and critical thinking skills. Requirements

• Minimum of one year of RN experience
• Associates of Nursing (ASN)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may apply for candidates with over two years of acute care experience, subject to CNO approval)
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
• Must live within a 45-minute response time of the hospital

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
