About The Position

This is a temporary position located at 301 Ashe Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27606 - Wake County, with the Governor Morehead School for the Blind. The role involves providing professional nursing care and treatment for students with visual impairments. The schedule is Sunday 6:00pm-12am, Monday-Thursday-3:30pm-12am. The hourly rate of pay is $29.00, based on education and/or years of relevant work experience. Temporary employees may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) if they work an average of 30 or more hours per week. Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their current position to work in a temporary role. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand temporary skill sets to enhance qualifications for State government and private sector jobs. Requirements

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina

Responsibilities

• Perform professional nursing care and treatment for students with visual impairments
• Develop nursing care plans based on diagnosis and pertinent medical information
• Conduct nursing assessments developing, implementing and evaluating treatment plans
• Provide patient care and education through case management
• Set up an environment to assist students in obtaining maximum level of functioning or recovery
