About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Pulmonology and Infectious Disease Clinic in Bloomington. The role involves providing professional nursing care through patient assessment, triage, education, treatment administration, care coordination, and ongoing monitoring of respiratory and infectious disease conditions. This is a 0.6 FTE ambulatory role with a predictable daytime schedule (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), three days per week, with no weekends, holidays, or travel requirements. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 4 Pulmonologists, 3 Advanced Practice Providers, and 3 Infectious Disease providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Ideal candidates have prior RN experience and are passionate about building long-term patient relationships while supporting chronic disease management and positive health outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience.
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN) required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. (Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)).
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
