About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking expert RNs for its Pulmonology and Infectious Disease Clinic in Bloomington. This role involves providing professional nursing care through patient assessment, triage, education, treatment administration, care coordination, and ongoing monitoring of respiratory and infectious disease conditions. This is a 1.0 FTE full-time ambulatory role with a consistent Monday through Friday day shift schedule (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), with no weekends, holidays, or travel requirements. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 4 Pulmonologists, 3 Advanced Practice Providers, and 3 Infectious Disease providers to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care. Ideal candidates have previous RN experience and are seeking meaningful work, clinical variety, and the opportunity to build lasting patient relationships while supporting chronic disease management and positive health outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area
  • Familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies
  • Ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
